Our Inspiration
Mars Revelation 62 was inspired by the growing possibility that humanity may one day need to look beyond Earth, whether in search of new resources to sustain life here, or in search of a future home among the stars. What once felt like distant science fiction now feels closer than ever, as space exploration continues to push the boundaries of what is possible.
Through this design, we wanted to imagine a small glimpse of that future. A compact outpost built for survival, shaped by machinery, control panels, and the quiet routines of life on another planet. But beyond its futuristic structure is also a deeply human story. One of solitude, memory, resilience, and hope.
Mars Revelation 62 reflects our curiosity about what lies ahead for the human species. Not just the technology that may bring us there, but the emotional reality of carrying pieces of Earth, and of ourselves, into the unknown.

With Mars Revelation 62, we wanted to imagine more than just a futuristic space station. We wanted to tell the story of a female astronaut sent far beyond Earth in search of a new world for humanity, a final act of hope for a planet that may one day need another home.
Inside her compact living quarters are the small pieces of life she chose to bring with her. A duck plush by her side, a crocheted teddy bear resting on the bed, and familiar belongings that carry the comfort of childhood and home. These are not just objects, but quiet reminders of the life she once knew.
On the screen beside her are messages from her mother, sent across the unimaginable distance of space. To bring this emotion to life, we used a lenticular print image on the computer screen to portray the passing of time through her mother’s changing age across the messages and videos she sends. For the astronaut, the mission feels like only months. But back on Earth, the years move quickly. As new recordings arrive, she begins to see the changes she never thought would come so soon, her parents growing older, her mother’s hair turning grey, and home slowly becoming something she can only revisit through memory.
Through this design, we wanted to capture both the wonder and the sacrifice behind space exploration. Mars Revelation 62 is not only about discovering new planets, but about the quiet courage of leaving everything behind for the future of humankind, even knowing you may never return.
