Inspired by a hidden forest bookstore where cats roam freely between ancient shelves and an infinity mirror stretches the path endlessly into the trees, because some stories refuse to end.
Some bookstores are not meant to be found. They are meant to be stumbled upon.
Beneath a canopy of ancient branches, past the moss-covered steps and the vines creeping quietly between the shelves, there is a bookstore that belongs to the cats. Three of them. Perched on railings, pausing mid-step, watching the winding path ahead with the quiet confidence of creatures who know every secret this place holds.
We built this world from the ground up. Each trunk is hand-twisted to create a realism no flat printed wood could ever achieve. Every vine placed with intention. Every beam of light considered.

The Cats Crossing DIY Book Nook Kit is a 407-piece intermediate build that rewards every hour you give it. Warm light filters through a handcrafted translucent ceiling, mimicking natural sunlight falling through a forest canopy. Five LED lights cast a golden glow across moss-covered shelves and winding staircases. A ceiling fan sits overhead, built to turn by hand, a detail so considered it feels like it has always been spinning.And at the far end of the shelves, a hidden passage opens into another world. The light spills out from somewhere the forest cannot follow. The curious ones have already gone through.
This is not just a bookstore. It is a world the cats have already claimed. You are simply the one who builds it.

Description
Inspired partly by Babilonia Libros in Montevideo, Cats Crossing was dreamed up as a secret bookstore deep within the forest, where shelves wind gently beneath the trees and curious cats seem to know more than they let on.
Sunlight filters softly through the slanted translucent roof above, while a great twisting tree trunk, dressed in vines and moss, breathes life into the heart of the scene.
Beyond the staircase, a hidden infinity passageway stretches into mystery. Can you guess what lies beyond, where the cats wander so curiously? Perhaps a forgotten tale, a hidden path, or a new beginning waiting to be found.

Cats Crossing is rated intermediate. You do not need prior crafting experience, but this is not a beginner kit. How long does the build take?

What is included in the kit?
Everything you need to complete the build: 407 pre-cut wooden pieces, five LED light components, a handcrafted translucent ceiling panel, an infinity mirror module with wiring, miniature cat figurines, moss and vine detailing materials, a USB power cable, an acrylic dust cover, and a fully illustrated English instruction manual.
(Glue and batteries are not included due to shipping restrictions.)
What tools will I need?
A small pair of tweezers (Included) and a toothpick for placing small details. White/silicon-based craft glue works best for assembly.
What are the finished dimensions?
The completed Cats Crossing Book Nook measures approximately 18 cm wide by 22 cm tall by 14 cm deep. It fits between standard bookshelf volumes and is designed to sit flush against your books.
Does it need batteries or a power outlet?
The LED lighting runs via USB. A USB-A cable is included. You can power it from any standard USB adapter, laptop port, or USB hub. No batteries required.
What if a piece is missing or damaged?
Reach out to us directly at info@byanavrin.com. We keep replacement parts on hand and will get the right piece to you as quickly as possible for free. A missing piece is not the end of your build.
Are these suitable for children?
We recommend the kit for ages 10 and above. Many parents have shared that their 6 to 8-year-olds enjoy building together with some guidance. It’s a lovely family activity that encourages creativity, patience, and quality time together.
