The Lijiang Ancient Town DIY Book Nook Kit is our most intricate and rewarding build yet. 605 pieces, each faithfully recreated from our own journey through Yunnan. Up to 15 LED lights, one for every lantern you assemble by hand. Hanging umbrellas so delicate they move with the air around them.
Give yourself 8 to 10 hours. You will not want to rush a single piece. And when you switch on all 15 lights for the first time and watch an entire ancient town glow to life on your shelf, you will understand why we had to make this.

Does it come with working lights? How does it work?
Yes, every ANAVRIN kit includes a pre-wired LED lighting system that adds warmth and realism to your build. Once assembled, simply insert 2 × AAA batteries into the battery box, switch it on, and watch your miniature glow softly through the lanterns and windows. The gentle illumination adds a serene, cozy atmosphere, perfect for display during quiet evenings.
Is it beginner-friendly?
