[Anniversary Special Release]
There is a moment in Bukchon when Seoul’s past and present appear within the same view.
Curved hanok rooftops stretch across the hillside, framed by old stone walls, wooden doors, and narrow sloped alleyways. Beyond them, Seoul Tower and the modern city skyline rise quietly in the distance. Heritage and progress, stillness and city life, separated by only a few rooftops.
Bukchon Hanok Village was designed to capture that moment at dusk.
As you build, layered roof tiles, textured stonework, glowing lanterns, and a warmly lit shopfront begin to bring the village to life. Golden autumn leaves gather along the pavement, while persimmons hang beside the entrance, adding small traces of warmth and everyday life to the scene.
Inspired by our own walks through Bukchon, this miniature is a love letter to a neighbourhood that feels preserved in time, yet remains unmistakably part of modern Seoul.
A quiet piece of the city, recreated by hand and made to be discovered from every angle.
A Moment in Bukchon
Our visits to Seoul have always shaped the way we design, but Bukchon Hanok Village left a particularly lasting impression.
Walking through its quiet alleyways, traditional hanok rooftops, old stone walls, and wooden doors feel almost frozen in time. Yet beyond them, Seoul Tower and the modern skyline remain visible in the distance.
This design captures that contrast at dusk, brought to life through glowing lanterns, autumn leaves, layered roof tiles, and small details inspired by the streets we remember.
A quiet moment in Seoul, recreated piece by piece.
